The president's most popular child, Zahra Buhari was advised by a social media follower not to marry a northerner who may hinder her goals and life ambitions. Zahra Buhari responded to a marriage advice on Twitter from a male follower who warned her against marrying a northerner.
This prompted a response from the graduate of Surrey University in the United Kingdom who seems indifferent about marrying from a particular geopolitical zone in Nigeria. Northern women have been criticized in the past for traditionally staying in purdah and not participating in economic activities and other leadership programmes.
